Class size is limited to 10 participants. Targets will be supplied. A firearm in good working condition (we require that it pass a safety inspection) and ammunition must be supplied by the student.

The following courses utilize the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program to develop firearm handling and shooting skills in new shooters. By the time a shooter completes the Distinguished Expert rating, they will have attained a proficiency level paralleling that of a competitively classified Sharpshooter. The NRA provides national recognition for all NRA members who achieve the Distinguished Expert rating provided they have acquired the awards for all the lower ratings.

The student progresses through the progressive ratings at their own pace. Limited instruction and guidance is provided. Note: The NRA rating awards are not provided as part of these courses, the student is responsible for the purchase of their individual rating awards from the NRA.

These courses have no classroom activity, all time is spent on the range. Remember to bring hearing and eye protection, clothing suitable for the season and a baseball type cap with a brim.
